Lip Fillers Cardiff

Full plump voluptuous lips with a well-defined lip line have been the hallmarks of beauty thought ages and cultures. The popularity and indispensability of lipsticks and lip liners attests to the central role of the lips in softening a female face.

Since the advent of reversible Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers about 20 years back, women now have a very powerful tool to prevent and reverse lip aging.

While most woman are wanting to consider lip fillers, as they see their lip volume diminishing and vertical lines appearing on top of their lips, they are scared at the thought of ducky artificial looking lips.

Dr Prashant specialises in Natural Lip Volumisation and guarantees that you will have lips that look naturally good and not artificial.

Dr Prashant also specialises in all the different lip filler techniques including the Russian Lip filler technique and uses his extensive knowledge to tailor the results to your face.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to get lip fillers?

The cost of lip filler varies with the type of filler and the number of 1 ml syringes needed to achieve the effect. Often lip fillers are done along with other facial fillers like cheek or chin augmentation. Most younger patients below the age of 35 years will need about 0.8cc of filler, while older more mature lips will need more than 1cc especially if the corners are also being treated.

How long do Lip Fillers last?

Due to the mobile nature of our lips and the slow breakdown of the hyaluronic acid that happens naturally, the effects of lips fillers can generally only last for 4–6 months before needing a top-up. You will find that the lip fillers last longer with each subsequent treatment often not needing topup for 1 – 1.5 years.

Are lip fillers painful?

The injections can be mildly painful, this is why all modern lip fillers are premixed with Local Anesthesia medication so the injection numbs the lips as it goes in. We also increase the comfort by using numbing cream and vibrating devices.

Which is the best lip filler?

Dr Prashant prefers Juvéderm Ultra 3, the same filler Kylie Jenner is rumoured to have. This gel-based filler gives very smooth and natural plumping. He will also use other fillers like RHA3, Belotero Balance, Restylane if the patient’s anatomy requires it.

What are the types of lip fillers?

All the lip fillers we use are hyaluronic acid based fillers, these have a proven track record, are not associated with allergies and can be reversed if needed adding to the safety profile.

What about natural lip fillers?

The patient’s own fat can make an excellent filler substance, as long as the patient is happy to have more bruising, swelling and downtime compared to hyaluronic acid filler. Besides the significant swelling and downtime, the other problem is lack of reversibility of the treatment.

What are permanent lip fillers?

While lip implants are available to give a permanent augmentation, we don’t prefer them due to their risks and the downtime associated with them.
